About Hero
The Rio Olympics took place from 5-21 August 2016. A total of 206 countries competed in 306 events over the course of 19 days. During this spectacular display of athletic mastery and sporting prowess, we got to capture the essence of true sportsmanship. Hero is published by Image SA and Lumico. Image SA illustrates the work of internationally acclaimed photographer Roger Sedres. As a seasoned veteran in the field, he has successfully combined his passion for sports and photography and now travels internationally with the chief aim of capturing pristine moments at major athletic events.
