DURING THE SUMMER OF 1942, at the heart of the Nazi regime, a series of anonymous pamphlets denouncing Hitler and his atrocities appeared in public squares, mailboxes, and flooded the University of Munich. Natalya Petrovich, a young nursing student, knows who is behind these papers calling for resistance: a secret group known as the White Rose, led by Sophie and Hans Scholl.
After her devastating experience as a nurse on the Russian front and the imprisonment of her father by the SS, accused of possessing banned books, Natalya decides to join the Scholl siblings in their fight, risking everything so that the power of words encourages other Germans to challenge the Third Reich.
