        Comments about Popular Science:

Being a PS reader as a youth, it was interesting to see how it is now. I was surprised that the online blogs & articles I find or search randomly and for free, about the same quality as these magazine articles. To me, it showed the plight of paper magazines to stay relevant. Online, I can spend a little time reading, and then do another task, including at work. Magazine, even though many articles are short (which is not the point or necessarily desired, it depends), I still feel like I need to spend dedicated time to get through the magazine I paid for. Conversely, if you prefer paper or have limited internet, the articles are similar to what you might find online, which is a good thing. To me, only relevant if I'm somewhere w/no internet and nothing to do, like a mechanic, but that's more a comment about today vs PS itself. Also funny to see some of the same ads from ~25y ago still there, unchanged.

We've been getting Discover magazine for years and now we get Popular Science too. My older kids (boy age 12 and girl age 15) love science and technology so they love reading these magazines. My son says he likes Popular Science better. He eagerly awaits each new issue.

                  Comments about Popular Science:

I've been reading this magazine for nearly 50 years, so my best assessment comes from never being bored by the informative, fun, and fascinating content. Anyone with an interest in science would enjoy this magazine, but I highly recommend it to parents to give to their science-interested kids to support their curiosity!

                        Comments about Popular Science:

From their description "Covering the latest developments in cars, electronics, communications, tools, energy, aviation, science, space exploration and much more."

Notice the first thing listed is cars, and science is buried? Not good for a "Popular Science" magazine. If I want car info, I will order a car magazine.

I love the coverage of new gadgets and gizmos. But the rest of the science tends to be covering Jr. High Science, like how evaporation effects a dam. I would prefer science that has a more direct effect or possible effect on my life.

I am sure the editors are concerned about how the internet is affecting magazines. I suggest you create a bridge medium. In other words, create short summary articles that can be quickly read. Then for those that want to read more, give them a link. Have these links tied to a subscription, and put them all on one page, so I don't need a different link for every article.
